GIGERS - the new restaurant

OPENING WINTER 2020/21!

Due to the current measures, the GIGERS is expected to remain open exclusively for our hotel guests.

 

Oh, those Gigers. Amalia and Josef opened the Waldhaus in 1908;
112 years later, we have named a restaurant after them.

And, it is really something! Constructed from alpine wood, to be assembled and disassembled just like the wooden scaffold that Josef Giger had erected on a spring day in 1905 at the top of the hill so he could decide exactly where to place his Waldhaus. Clearly, he hit the nail on the head!

Gigers, our latest culinary project, is ready to launch. It is located on what used to be our third tennis court, in the midst of the dreamy forest. Enrico Uffer from Savognin created and constructed the “quadrin”, our temporary wooden house.

Enjoy the cozy atmosphere and the simple, traditional and super delish.

There we will serve you various snacks and sweet pastries in the afternoon and fine cheese fondue, all-you-can-eat raclette and other typical mountain dishes from 6 p.m. on.
